BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU BUT WITH A DIFFERENCE!!

On Thursday 15th November (9.30am to 7.30pm), we will be tasting 2 wines from Beaujolais – a Beaujolais Villages Nouveau – and a Macon Villages Blanc Nouveau.
These wines promise to be a cut above the normal ‘Nouveau’ experience, so pop along and try for yourself!


CHRISTMAS IN NOVEMBER!!

In the coming months we will be introducing several exciting new wines.
This week we have 4 new French wines. From the vineyards owned by Bellefontaine in S France, a Chardonnay, a Sauvignon Blanc, a Syrah Rosé, and a Merlot. These are very popular single-varietal house wines –and we will be tasting these on Fri/Sat 12/13th October. Just £5.70 each
We have 2 new wines from Alsace – a Riesling and a Gewurztraminer, both from Cave de Turckheim. Only £9.95 each
Last, but not least, we now have an Italian Organic red to add to our ever growing list of Organic wines. From Patrizi in Piedmonte, an excellent Dolcetto from the vineyards of Dogliani at £11.35 each.

This Thursday, 6th September, is
‘PRIORY QUARTER & CHURCH STREET EVENING FESTIVAL’.
Late night opening for Church Street shops, a Jazz Band, coffee at pavement tables along Church St. Come and join in the fun!
AND
We will be hosting free wine-tasting with wines from Australia, Chile and Italy - 6pm until 9pm.

Our latest arrival, a new range of Chilean wines from the Anakena range, are proving to be among the most popular wines we have tasted!!! These wines are all at £5.95 each.

Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé – this wine is full of red fruit flavours without being too sweet -this has rapidly become our best-selling Rosé.

Chardonnay – hints of melon, pineapple, apricot and citrus notes. Ideal with seafood, salmon or pasta.

Sauvignon Blanc - full of fresh gooseberry and wild-blossom aromas. Bursting with ripe fruit and freshness it is excellent as an aperitif, with chicken, seafood or salads.

Viognier – this spectacular wine has intense apricot and citrus aromas with a hint of tropical fruit. It is crisp and well-balanced. Good with poultry, seafood, salmon and salads.

Merlot - rich and smooth on the palate, with strawberry and blackberry aromas. Ideal with white meat, pastas and cheeses.

Carmenere – check out the blackberry notes and pepper and chocolate aromas. This wine is rich and fruity on the palate with a velvety finish. Delicious with game, red meat, pasta or cheese.
